Schedule
The training procedures introduce participants to all elements and topics of the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). Participants learn about the development of security guidelines, security in software engineering, network threats, types of attacks and corresponding countermeasures, cryptographic concepts and how to apply them, emergency planning and management, risk analysis, major legal parameters, forensic basics, investigation proceedings, physical security and much more. All this contributes to being able to put together and comprehend consistent security concept.
Instruction is thus designed so that a coach is able to cover and review all topics during a 5-day-course, allowing participants to take the exam directly (or at another date). The training sessions can be difficult and challenging – depending on the participant’s level of knowledge. All participants who intend to take the exam immediately after the training should schedule time in the evening to study the material. It is highly recommended that participants form study groups. The All-in-One book by Shon Harris is included.
